BETHEL, Alaska (AP) - Bethel is investigating whether to purchase and install water meters, to measure usage by both hauled and piped customers.
KYUK reports (https://is.gd/nXMfZH) the Bethel City Council directed staff to research prices for meters.
Mayor Joe Klejka says there is a cost associated with water, but by far, the biggest expense is the delivery system.
The city is investigating electronic meters to save costs on manpower.
