EPHRATA, Pa. (AP) - Fire truck and rescue vehicle manufacturer American LaFrance has closed a warehouse, production and service facility in Pennsylvania, idling about 150 workers.

WHTM-TV (https://bit.ly/1e26NNm ) reports the company closed the facility in Ephrata (eh-FRAY’-tah), Lancaster County, and has no plans to reopen the facility.

The company has released a statement confirming the closure, along with sites in Monks Corner, S.C. and Los Angeles.

The company blames its “unexpected current financial condition” for the closure, but didn’t offer specifics.

American LaFrance says customers will soon be able to get replacement parts and service for their vehicles from an unspecified third-party vendor. The company says it will contact customers with that information “in the near future.”
