BELL CITY, La. (AP) - Snipe hunting will open Monday at the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge.

Refuge manager Glenn Harris says the season will run through Feb. 28.

Hunting will be permitted all days of the week from one half hour before sunrise to sunset.

Hunters are required to carry a signed copy of the refuge regulations while hunting. Hunt regulation brochures can be picked up at the Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuge visitor center.

Hunting dogs are permitted, but must remain under the immediate control of the hunter.
