ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A woman is recovering in the hospital after crashing her car into a pole at Grant Middle School.

Albuquerque police say the woman was driving erratically early Sunday morning before the accident.

Police spokesman Daren DeAguero says officers arrived to find her unconscious and the car on fire.

DeAguero says they were able to extricate her from the vehicle.

The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to University of New Mexico Hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition.

No one else was hurt.
