BOSTON (AP) - Authorities say a truck has crashed through a guardrail on Route 93 in Boston, plunging the driver into Dorchester Bay and spilling diesel fuel into the water.

Boston emergency workers say firefighters pulled the unidentified driver from the water on Monday. The driver was taken to Boston Medical Center with minor injuries.

Firefighters responded to the crash at 10 a.m. when the truck slid into the water near the Dorchester Yacht Club. The cause has not been determined.

The Boston Fire Department and State Police, a hazardous materials team and the Coast Guard were working to pull the truck from the water and prevent further fuel leaks.

Northbound traffic delays are expected to continue into the evening.
