MCCOMB, Miss. (AP) - A Brookhaven man has been indicted for allegedly shooting a man and kidnapping his female companion in rural Pike County last August.

The Enterprise-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/LxtulD ) that Pike County Circuit Court records show 45-year-old Cammie Porter has been indicted for attempted murder, armed robbery, sexual battery, kidnapping and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

No court date has been set.

Authorities say Porter allegedly gave Jamari Armstrong and his companion a ride in McComb then stopped near the Bogue Chitto River bridge east of Summit.
