ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a stabbing in the Glenn Highway community of Chickaloon.

Alaska State Troopers say the man and an adult male family member fought in the parking lot outside King Mountain Lodge near Mile 76.

Both men fled after the fight.

The Anchorage Daily News (https://bit.ly/LCCczc) reports troopers took a call just before 6 p.m. Sunday that the injured man was near the Sutton General Store near Mile 61, about 15 miles from Chickaloon.

Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters says a LifeMed helicopter flew the stabbed man to an Anchorage hospital. He was in intensive care Monday.

Peters says the second man was found with “significant injuries” in a car at Mile 58. He was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

No charges have been filed.
