LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska women’s bowling coach is taking a leave of absence after undergoing emergency heart surgery two weeks ago.
According to an athletic department statement, Bill Straub had surgery for an aortic dissection on Jan. 9. He will be on leave indefinitely pending his full recovery.
Straub’s longtime assistant, Paul Klempa, has been named interim head coach.
