ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A woman has been sentenced to 366 days in federal prison for involuntary manslaughter in a rollover crash in New Mexico that killed a child.

Prosecutors say 24-year-old Sherie Rena Pete also was ordered Wednesday to serve three years of supervised release after completing her prison term.

Pete was arrested last May on a criminal complaint.

Authorities say a 3-year-old child was killed and two other people injured in a car crash in Iyanbito on the Navajo Nation on May 5, 2013.

Pete pleaded guilty in August to involuntary manslaughter.

Prosecutors say she admitted to drinking alcohol before driving her vehicle off the roadway and overcorrecting, resulting in the car flipping 1 ½ times.
