NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The University of Oklahoma is the pick to win the Big 12 Conference softball title in a preseason coach’s poll.

The defending national champion Sooners were picked first on six of seven coach’s ballots with the coaches not allowed to vote for their own team.

Baylor received the other first-place vote and is second in the poll. Texas is picked to finish third, followed by Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Iowa State.

OU has seven starters back from last season when the Sooners went 57-4 and 15-2 in the Big 12.
