PHOENIX (AP) - The driver of a truck believed involved in a deadly crash this week on Interstate 17 in Phoenix has been arrested.

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say 27-year-old Joseph Ryan O’Conner was taken into custody Thursday on suspicion of negligent homicide.

Authorities say the multiple-vehicle crash was caused by some gas cylinders that fell off of a flatbed truck at about 3 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say O’Conner allegedly was driving the truck hauling the cylinders and they were able to identify him through witnesses and other leads.

It was unclear Thursday evening if O’Connor has a lawyer yet.

A Sun City man riding a motorcycle was killed in the fiery crash after he was hit by a semi-truck.
