DENBO, Pa. (AP) - Police have charged a western Pennsylvania special education teacher with drug possession and disorderly conduct after allegedly finding her in a parked car with a former student, who told investigators they were meeting for sex.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for 45-year-old Jacqueline Righetti, of Roscoe, who has been suspended with pay by the Bethlehem-Center School District.

Police in Centerville, Washington County, filed the charges last week but have yet to arrest Righetti for the incident Dec. 28 in Denbo.

That’s where an officer approached Righetti’s vehicle, believing it was disabled as it was pulled over on the main street about 9 p.m. Police say Righetti claimed the young man was her nephew, but he told police that wasn’t true.

Police say they found two white pills, a snorting straw, and suspected cocaine residue.
