NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Newark police have arrested a 17-year-old they say punched a man and took his cellphone.

It happened last week when the man was at a bus stop in front of Newark High School. Police say a youth approached the man and asked to use his phone to call his mother.

Officers say as the man reached for his phone, the youth punched him in the face, grabbed his phone and ran toward a shopping center.

Police say officers identified a suspect from surveillance video at the school, and arrested the teen hours later.

He was charged with robbery and released to his parents.
