JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A Tupelo man has pleaded guilty to sexual battery of a vulnerable person.

Attorney General Jim Hood says 61-year-old Larry Joe Hester entered the plea Thursday in Lee County Circuit Court before Judge Paul S. Funderburk.

Funderburk then sentenced Hester to six years and six months in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections and ordered him to pay a $1,000 fine and court costs.

Hood says Hester admitted to sexual battery of a bed-bound victim who was a resident of an assisted living facility.
