RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - Police in the Vermont city of Rutland say a man and woman are facing charges in a string of knifepoint robberies of convenience stores in Rutland County.

Arabellla Babcock of Rutland and Patrick Blodgett, who police say recently moved to the area from Barre, are expected to be arraigned Thursday afternoon.

The couple was arrested Wednesday night after police say they robbed the Granger Street Market and Deli. Police say they are being charged with four other armed robberies in Rutland and Wallingford this month. It was not immediately known if they were being represented by lawyers.

The Rutland Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1dS4UIA ) that Blodgett has been charged with five counts of assault and robbery. Babcock is charged with four counts of aiding in the commission of a felony.
