CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Wildlife officials are investigating after a mule deer was illegally shot and a fawn was hit by a car near Baggs.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says a two-point buck was found shot in the back near Poison Basin Road on Jan. 3. It was crippled and had to be euthanized.
