SANGER, Calif. (AP) - The California Highway Patrol says three women were killed in a head-on collision with a suspected drunk driver in Fresno County.

CHP Officer Sean Haller says the deadly crash happened about 6:30 p.m. Saturday northwest of Sanger. He says a Chevy van failed to stop at a stop sign, made a too-wide turn, clipped a minivan and slammed into a Toyota compact with four women.

The Fresno Bee (https://bit.ly/1mKGu36 ) reports the woman who was not killed was taken to a local hospital.

Officials say the suspect was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.

Authorities haven’t released the names of the suspect or four women.
