CUTCHOGUE, N.Y. (AP) - Two cars lost control and wound up in the water in separate incidents on Long Island.
Police say Alejandra Moya of Westhampton Beach hit an icy patch of road and slid into Broadwaters Creek in Cutchogue Sunday morning.
The car overturned and became partly submerged. But police say Moya was able to get out and get help at a nearby home.
About half hour later in East Rockaway, a 24-year-old man suffered a seizure while driving, causing his car to go off a dock at Althouse Avenue.
Newsday (https://bit.ly/1mN8SBB ) says the driver managed to get out of the car on his own.
He was treated for minor injuries at a hospital.
Both cars were removed from the water.
