SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A disabled man accused of molesting some of the 25 children he and his wife were foster parents to has been sentenced to 30 years in prison as part of an agreement with prosecutors.

The San Antonio Express-News reports (https://bit.ly/1liw7rQ ) that 69-year-old Elisandro Mireles had pleaded no contest after being indicted on four counts of sexual assault of a child. Authorities say two of the children he assaulted were foster kids and two lived outside his home.

During Monday’s sentencing hearing, Mireles acknowledged there had been a fifth victim, another foster child.

Mireles had asked for probation, citing his failing health.

The mother and father of two of the children testified in court Monday, saying they wanted Mireles sent to prison for his crimes.
