COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police in central Ohio say a shooting overnight left a 10-year-old boy in critical condition.

Columbus police say patrol officers responded to the shooting after 1 a.m. Monday at a home in a residential neighborhood just southeast of downtown.

Police gave no details about what happened but said the boy was critically hurt and was taken to a hospital. They didn’t immediately identify the child.
