COQUILLE, Ore. (AP) - A Coos County jury took less than 30 minutes to find a North Bend man guilty of murder in the shooting death of his disabled wife.

The World (https://is.gd/2aU5GU ) newspaper reports Wayne Hagner will be sentenced Feb. 3.

Hagner was arrested in July after a police officer conducting a welfare check found Anna Lee Hagner lying in a pool of blood.

Defense attorneys argued that Hagner’s actions were reckless, rather than an intentional attempt to take a life.

Hagner had been convicted of crimes such as assault and harassment in the past decade, and completed drug treatment and anger management programs before the shooting.
