TOPPENISH, Wash. (AP) - The water level in a pond near Toppenish dropped enough to reveal a body that apparently had been in the water a long time.
The Yakima County sheriff’s office says it was recovered Sunday afternoon and turned over to the coroner for an autopsy for identification and cause of death. The sheriff’s office says the body was fully clothed and there was no obvious sign of a crime.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (https://bit.ly/1eswbMw ) the body only became visible once the water receded.
