MURRAY, Utah (AP) - Murray police say they’re trying to find whoever is responsible for the death of an 85-year-old woman found over the weekend in a burning home.

Investigators say the discovery was made early Saturday after a Utah Transit Authority police officer pulled over a car in a bus-loading zone and the male driver later drove off.

The car’s license plate number led police to a Murray home, which officers found on fire. Firefighters then discovered Shirley Sharp dead inside the house.

Police declined to comment on Sharp’s cause of death, but say her injuries weren’t from the fire. An autopsy will be performed by the Salt Lake City Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police were searching for the car driver for questioning.
