A student set himself on fire in an apparent suicide attempt at a Denver-area high school on Monday morning, causing an evacuation and classes to be canceled for the rest of the day.

Standley Lake High School in Westminster, Colo., was quickly evacuated after a fire broke out in the cafeteria around 7:30 a.m., a local CBS affiliate reported.

Fire officials say more than 80 percent of the 16-year-old boy’s body was burned. His identity was not revealed.

A cafeteria worker was also injured, suffering cuts from breaking the glass to a fire extinguisher, The Denver Post said.
