MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Police say one man is dead after a shooting at a Mesa apartment complex and a suspect is in custody.
Mesa police say details of the Tuesday afternoon shooting remain sketchy, but it appears the 21-year-old male suspect and victim knew each other and were having a dispute.
Authorities didn’t immediately release the names of the two men.
Police say when officers arrived at the scene, they found a man lying dead in the parking lot.
Television footage shows a red car with its passenger door open and a body covered in a tarp on the ground nearby.
Police investigators are searching an apartment and vehicle at the scene and interviewing witnesses.
