PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police in Oregon say a drug dog led them to 31 pounds of methamphetamine packed in a suitcase in a car that officers stopped on Interstate 84.

KATU-TV reports (https://is.gd/grj28x) the estimated street value of the meth is $1.5 million.

Officers stopped the car last Friday. They say the three people in the vehicle gave officers consent to search it. All three denied owning the suitcase.

Officers arrested a 36-year-old man for investigation of possession and distribution of meth. The other two people were released.
