LONDON (AP) - Jason Puncheon scored the winning goal for a second straight match as Crystal Palace beat Hull 1-0 in the Premier League to provisionally move five points clear of the relegation zone.

The winger was ridiculed for a penalty miss against Tottenham two weeks ago but has responded with a winner against Stoke last week and his 16th-minute strike to see off Hull at Selhurst Park.

Back-to-back victories have put distance between Palace and the bottom three, showing the difference Tony Pulis has made since taking over two months ago with the team bottom of the standings.

Hull partnered newly signed strikers Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic but they barely had a chance as the visitors slipped to a fourth straight loss.
