SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The University of Utah officials says magnitude-4.1 earthquake shook Nevada’s most remote state park.

University of Utah Seismograph Stations manager Relu Burlacu says the quake occurred Tuesday at 9:20 a.m. near Nevada’s Beaver Dam State Park, about 34 miles northwest of St. George, Utah.

There were no immediate reports of damage.

A ranger says she doesn’t believe there are any campers or visitors at Beaver Dam State Park. The quake was followed by a series of aftershocks of up to magnitude 2.4.

Dawn Andone says the state park no longer has a dam. She spoke from Cathedral Gorge State Park, about 40 miles away.
