PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona’s voter registration numbers are up by about 20,000 since the last report in October.

The Secretary of State’s Office says the state has more than 3.2 million registered voters.

While registration for the state’s major political parties stayed about the same, the number of voters not affiliated with any party increased by nearly 25,000 and now is at about 1.12 million.

That’s almost equal to the number of registered Republicans, which remains at more than 1.13 million.

Registered Democratic voters in Arizona are at about 963,000. That’s down by a couple thousand since October’s report.

Members of the Libertarian, Green and Americans Elect parties account for about 1 percent of the electorate.
