VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Clark County settled a public records complaint for nearly $5,000.
Without admitting guilt, the county agreed to pay the money to Ed Ruttledge of Vancouver. He said the county failed to respond in a timely manner last year to a public disclosure request about the appointment of state Sen. Don Benton to a county job.
The Columbian reports (https://bit.ly/1k7Apym) the county was several months late in delivering the documents.
