MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Police say a man wanted for trying to cash a stolen check in Mesa is in custody after a barricade situation.
The name of the suspect wasn’t immediately released Wednesday.
Police say he tried to cash a stolen check at a check-cashing store before fleeing to a vacant building near Country Club and University.
That started a brief barricade situation.
Authorities say one SWAT team officer suffered minor injuries that weren’t inflicted by the suspect.
