MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - State Attorney General Luther Strange says an ex-Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center chief agent has been sentenced to six months in prison for illegally accessing confidential law enforcement information.

Strange says 63-year-old Dennis Bodine pleaded guilty Monday to obtaining criminal offender record information under false pretenses. Strange says Bodine accessed the information after he was no longer employed with the ACJIC.

Strange says Bodine is also ordered to serve six months of probation, pay a $5,000 fine and $50 to the Crime Victims Compensation Fund.
