LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Forestry Commission says the state is at high risk of wildfires because of dry, windy conditions.

A red flag warning is in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday for all of the state except for a few counties in the northwest. The National Weather Service says relative humidity values will be between 20 percent and 30 percent, and winds will continue Thursday at 15 mph or above.

Forecasters warn that any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
