BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Chad Frazier scored 27 points and had four assists, C.J. Washington added 19 points with eight rebounds as UAB defeated Old Dominion 75-66 on Thursday night.

Old Dominion scored the opening bucket. Washington answered with a field goal and Frazier hit two free throws and the Blazers led the rest of the game. Washington’s back-to-back 3-pointers gave the Blazers a 62-47 lead with 6:42 to play.

Frazier was 9 of 18 from the field, including four 3-pointers, and has scored 20 points or more in three-straight games. Washington hit three treys on 8-of-10 shooting. Denzell Watts added five assists and six rebounds for UAB (14-6, 3-3 Conference USA).



Dimitri Batten scored 18 points with four steals to lead Old Dominion (10-11, 4-2). Ambrose Mosley made five of his nine shots to finish with 16 points, including four 3-pointers for the Monarchs.
