LAS VEGAS (AP) - Officials in Las Vegas say McCarran International Airport handled more passengers in December than a year earlier.

Data released Thursday shows more than 3.2 million people flew in and out of the airport last month. That’s 4.1 percent more people than flew in December 2012.

Total airport traffic increased by a half of percentage point over the course of 2013.

Domestic traffic was flat in December, while the number of passengers flying internationally increased by 3.4 percent. Domestic carriers make up about 90 percent of traffic.

Of the top five airlines serving the airport, Delta saw the biggest passenger gain.

McCarran is the seventh-busiest airport in the country.
