HASTINGS, Neb. (AP) - A 17-year-old Hastings boy has been accused of stabbing his father.

Authorities say the boy and his father had gotten into an argument early Wednesday morning. Authorities say the boy pulled a knife and stabbed his dad when their confrontation turned physical. The 42-year-old father was taken to Mary Lanning Healthcare for treatment and was released later.

Online court records say the boy is charged with two felonies: assault and use of a deadly weapon. His next hearing is scheduled for Feb. 7.

The Associated Press generally doesn’t name juveniles accused of crimes.
