CENTERVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Two people have been found dead inside a Hickman County home that burned to the ground Friday.

WKRN (https://bit.ly/1iUrCBT ) is reporting that the victims are believed to be a couple in their 80s.

The home, which is in the Nunelly community, about 15 minutes north of Centerville, was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene.

Hickman County Sheriff Randal Ward said firefighters were forced to break through a layer of ice on a nearby pond to get water, because the closest fire hydrant was several miles away. He said the blaze was so intense that the roof on the home collapsed.

Ward did not identify the victims in the house. He said the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
