PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is in New York City for Super Bowl weekend and a ceremonial hand-off for next year’s big game in Glendale.

Brewer press aide Andrew Wilder says the governor is promoting Arizona on the trip and will meet with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Saturday. That event is the ceremonial handoff between the host states.

Wilder says Brewer should have no trouble promoting Arizona this year - all she has to do is show people the weather forecast and they’re sold. For the record, it’s expected to hit 40 degrees Friday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey compared to 69 degrees in Phoenix.

The governor will be at Sunday’s game and is backing the Denver Broncos against Seattle.
