Authorities investigate death of 2-month-old boy

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Authorities in Sequoyah County are investigating the death of a 2-month-old boy.

Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart tells the Southwest Times Record (https://bit.ly/1fhmFO3) that officers responded to a call about an infant who had died at a home in Vian on Thursday evening.

Lockhart declined to discuss circumstances of the death, but he described the death as “suspicious.”

Lockhart said Vian police are leading the investigation.

Authorities are waiting for autopsy reports.
