WASHINGTON (AP) - District of Columbia police say a man and a woman found dead inside a home were both killed.

Police say the two were found with gunshot wounds Thursday afternoon, and detectives are investigating the deaths as a double homicide.

The victims have been identified as Ervin Phillip Ingraham and Ronnetta Hurley-Brown. Both were 21 years old.

Officers responding to a report found the man and woman inside an apartment in the 1600 block of 17th Street in southeast. Police also found two children, who were both alive.

The medical examiner’s office is investigating the cause and manner of the deaths.
