MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan is visiting a Manchester elementary school to discuss the school’s upgraded intercom system.

Officials say the improvements enhance the Beech Street Elementary School’s emergency alerting capability.

The project was funded in part by a federal Emergency Management Performance Grant managed by the Department of Safety’s Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

The visit is taking place Friday morning.
