VICTORIA, Texas (AP) - A South Texas man who authorities say was wanted for causing an auto wreck that killed two people has been apprehended in Arkansas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety announced Friday that 43-year-old Leo Click Jr. was caught Wednesday near Alma in northwest Arkansas. Authorities say his vehicle in August crossed the center line and triggered a collision in South Texas that killed a 45-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy. Seven others were hurt.

A Refugio (ray-FYOO’-ee-oh) County grand jury indicted Click in November on charges that include criminally negligent homicide. Authorities have not said what caused Click to cross into oncoming traffic.

The Victoria Advocate reports Click is an ex-con with a criminal history that includes convictions for assault and also possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture.
