SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police say a drunken 19-year-old Utah man punched and kicked Boy Scouts in a hotel swimming pool near Bryce Canyon last week.

The Salt Lake Tribune (https://bit.ly/1dSJpBf ) reports Scout leaders told police the man attacked four 12- and 13-year-old Scouts on January 24 at Ruby’s Inn.

Jail documents say he was laying in his own vomit inside the hotel when police got there. Officials say he later said he was too drunk to remember the ordeal.

The 19-year-old is being held in the Garfield County Jail on suspicion of felony child abuse, three counts of misdemeanor child abuse, underage drinking and trying to get into a bar even though he was underage.
