HOUSTON (AP) - Two more people linked to the white supremacist Aryan Brotherhood of Texas are going to prison over the 2008 killing of a potential member.

A federal judge in Houston on Thursday sentenced Shane Gail “Dirty” McNiel of San Antonio to 10 years in prison. Denise Nicole Feathers of Jourdanton (JERD’-nt-n) was sentenced to more than six years in prison. Both pleaded guilty last August to being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Investigators say Mark Davis Byrd Sr. of Pleasanton was a prospective gang member who was tortured and slain in May 2008 for stealing drugs he was supposed to deliver. His body was dumped in Atascosa (a-tuhs-KOH’-suh) County.

McNiel and Feathers helped hide a shotgun used in the killing.

Nearly a dozen people pleaded guilty in the investigation.
