AMELIA, La. (AP) - Authorities say an Amelia woman was killed when she drove her SUV through a yard and into a mobile home, whose occupants were not injured.

St. Mary Parish sheriff’s spokeswoman Traci Landry tells The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1fi0ZkZ) 62-year-old Irmanese Williams was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday night after failing to negotiate a curve.

Landry says one passenger, a 13-year-old male, was treated and released from Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.

She says Williams and the teen were wearing seat belts, and alcohol or drug impairment is not suspected.

The crash remains under investigation.
