Ala. man sentenced in death of infant daughter

DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - A Lacey’s Spring man has been sentenced in the 2008 death of his infant daughter.

The Decatur Daily reports (https://bit.ly/1pTDzrN ) 41-year-old Gary Lee Wilbourn was sentenced Tuesday to 22 years in prison in the 2008 death of his 4-month-old daughter. Wilbourn was convicted of manslaughter and aggravated child abuse in May.

Authorities have said the man’s daughter, Amy Wilbourn, died from brain trauma after being shaken.

Wilbourn is being given credit for four years of time served.
