Longtime Bismarck Tribune editor, reporter is new editor; Wallick been at the paper 40 years

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A 40-year veteran at Bismarck’s largest newspaper has been chosen as the next editor of the Bismarck Tribune.

The Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1riOVHt ) Steve Wallick has been in charge of the paper’s newsroom as the city editor since 2002.

Wallick is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska. He joined the Tribune in 1974 as a reporter and copy editor. Since then he’s also served as copy desk supervisor.

Publisher Brian Kroshus says the paper has already begun searching for a new city editor. The paper also hopes to fill the editorial page editor position that was recently vacated by longtime veteran Ken Rogers.
