VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - Teens from across the country will repair more than 60 homes in South Hampton Roads during a youth work camp.

The annual Group Cares camp is hosted by Providence Presbyterian Church. Participants include teens and adult leaders from numerous congregations and denominations.

During this week’s camp, the teens will repair 64 homes of elderly, low-income and disabled residents. They also will collect items for local food pantries.

Providence Presbyterian Church pastor the Reve. Jeff Bell tells The Virginian-Pilot (https://bit.ly/1klay4A ) that projects could include painting a house’s interior or exterior, constructing a wheelchair ramp, or skirting around mobile homes.
