AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Maine’s secretary of state has determined the order of the six bonds questions on the November ballot.
The first bond question will be $8 million to create an animal and plant disease and insect control facility. That will be followed by a $4 million bond to help small businesses and a $10 million bond to build a medical research center.
The fourth question will be a $3 million bond to update infrastructure in a biological laboratory. The final two will be a $10 million bond to protect drinking water sources and a $7 million bond to expand seafood and lobster processing.
A citizen initiative asking voters if they want to ban the use of bait, dogs or traps for bear hunting will appear before the bonds on the ballot.
