TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Tempe police say a 13-year-old boy was home alone when two burglars broke in.
Police say one of the two intruders who entered through a skylight on Tuesday found the boy in his bedroom and told him to stay there and cover his eyes. The intruders stayed in the home for about an hour as they looked for valuables.
The boy came out at one point, thinking the intruders had left, but they hadn’t and one told him to go back in his room, which he did.
However, he ran out and yelled when his mother returned home, and they both fled the home and called police.
The suspects were gone when officers arrived.
